The Kramer 1984 Custom Reissue is a nod to Eddie Van Halen's guitar from 1984, hence the 1984 Reissue as the model name. Kramer never released a 1984 guitar before. The form of the guitar resembles Eddie Van Halen's Kramer 5150. The body is alder which is different than the Kramer 5150 which had a poplar (or basswood) body . The neck on this one is not asymmetrical though. The neck, which is lightly oiled, and fingerboard consistst of one piece of maple. The finish on these guitars were either Checkered Red and White, Bullseye Red and White or Bullseye Black and Red. Which differentiated these Custom guitars to the "normal" Kramer 1984 Reissue.
