The Yamaha RGX820J is a super strat bodied guitar with scooped cutaways and 2 active humbuckers. It has a 24.75 inch scale length which is unusual for a strat bodied guitar and features the Yamaha RM Pro bridge which is a Floyd Rose licensed tremolo where you don't have to cut off the ball ends of your strings. IBesides the Tone and Volume knob, it also has a mid boost knob. There is a mini toggle switch that controls the coil tap where you can switch between humbucker and single coil mode. The neck bolt system doesn't utilize a plate to make it easier for upper fret access. The RGX 820J was made for the Japanese domestic market. There was also an option for NBS (Navy Blue Sunburst) or PRS (Power Red Sunburst finish) exotic wood finish.
