The Yamaha YGS-A1CO is a single coil pickup usually paired with the Yamaha YGH-A1BO Humbucker. These pickups use Alnico V magnets. When used in an HSS pickup configuration, the center pickup uses an N-polse magnet, while the front and rear pickups use S-pole magnet pole pieces. This will create a hum-canceling effect.
