Description:

The EVH Wolfgang USA is an Eddie Van Halen signature guitar that is a continuation of the Peavey EVH Wolfgang. After Eddie's collaboration with Fender-owned Charvel on the Charvel EVH Art Series, Fender offered Ed his own product brand; EVH. Together with Chip Ellis, Ed worked on the design of what would become the EVH Wolfgang. The form and materials remained the same as the Peavey EVH Wolfgang. The body is still a basswood body and has a five-piece binding. The headstock was also bound and matches the color of the body/top.  Some details changed though. Beside the maple fingerboard, there were now also versions that features an ebony fingerboard. The ebony fingerboards featured mother of pearl block inlays except for the Stealth and Stealth Gray versions which had dots. As for the 1/2" maple top, some were 5A flame maple tops, some were AA Quilt. The Stealth models have Magna Coatings paint.  The scooped Peavey Headstock made way for a cut out version. The tone and volume knobs now have MXR-style knobs. Other features are:

  • EVH Wolfgang Custom USA pickups mounted on the body
  • 1.625" (41.30 mm) nut width
  • Quartersawn maple neck with 2 graphite rods for reinforcement
  • Gloss Urethane finish on body (Satin on Stealth Models)
