The Yamaha RGX812R is a super strat bodied guitar with scooped cutaways, active electronics and a coiltap for the humbucker. It has a 24.75 inch scale length which is unusual for a strat bodied guitar and features the Yamaha RM II bridge which is a Floyd Rose licensed tremolo. The neck bolt system doesn't utilize a plate to make it easier for upper fret access. It has a bound neck. The RGX 812R was made for the Japanese domestic market. The specifications resemble that of the Yamaha RGX 612A which also has the same active pickups.
