The EVH Striped Series Frankie is a more affordable reproduction of Eddie Van Halen's Frankenstein guitar. The EVH Striped Series Frankie features the recognizable Red with white-and-black striped paint job and a worn-in reliced look. The guitar has a basswood Stratocaster-style body and a graphite reinforced quartersawn maple neck (with oil finish on the back of the neck). The maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets has a 12"-16" compound radius. The body of the guitar is routed for an HSS pickup configuration but only features a black EVH Wolfgang bridge pickup and a dummy strat neck pickup paired with a dummy five-way switch in the middle position. The tremolo on the guitar is an EVH branded Floyd Rose 1000 series vibrato system and has a D-Tuna device for drop-D tuning.
