The Gibson 496R is a high output humbucker for the neck position. It has a ceramic magnet and four-conductor wiring for series, parallel or split coil operation. It is also fully wax potted to eliminate any chance of microphonic feedback. It is often paired with the Gibson 500T in the bridge position.
