The Yamaha RGX 612A II is a super strat bodied guitar with scooped cutaways, active electronics and a coiltap for the humbucker. It has a 24.75 inch scale length which is unusual for a strat bodied guitar and features the Yamaha RM Pro bridge which is a Floyd Rose licensed tremolo where you don't have to cut off the ball ends of your strings. Besides the Tone and Volume knob, it also has a mid boost knob. All the pickups can be switched off individually using 3 mini toggle switches. The 4th mini toggle switch controls the coil tap where you can switch between humbucker and single coil mode. The neck bolt system doesn't utilize a plate to make it easier for upper fret access. It doesn't feature the 12th fret design inlay like the Yamaha RGX 612A. And it featured some other colors
