The Yamaha Pacifica 1230S is a high-end Yamaha Pacifica guitar from the Yamaha Pacifica series that came to life under the creative guidance of Rich Lasner. The Yamaha Pacifica 1230S features a basswood single cut (tele) body, a warmoth neck with a compound radius reinforced with carbon graphite rods, 3 Yamaha Q100 humbuckers made by DiMarzio in a HHH configuration and the Yamaha RM-Pro II tremolo. Other features on the Pacifica 1230S are the "Total Access" neck joint, which consists of a roomy lower body cutaway, a low profile neck heel and a machined aluminum mating block extending deep into the body. It also features a height adjustable locking nut. The guitar was made in Japan and assembled in Taiwan. A strat version is also available in the Yamaha Pacifica 1230.
