The Washburn Mercury MG92 is part of Washburn's Mercury series produced between 1993-1996 under Grover Jackson. The MG92 was part of the Mercury I series which were made in the United States. This serie was highly regarded as high-end instruments and the Mercury I series had "chunkier" necks than the Mercury II series. The Washburn MG92 also has the advanced features like the Wilkinson VS-100 tremolo and direct-mounted Seymour Duncan pickups. The MG92 has almost the same configuration as the Washburn Mercury MG90. The guitars differ in the pickup department. The MG92 features an HH configuration consisting of the Seymour Duncan 59 and the Seymour Duncan JB. The guitar came in a natural oil finish
