The Washburn Mercury MG74 is part of the Washburn Mercury I series produced between 1993 and 1996 under Grover Jackson. The Washburn Mercury MG74 was made in Korea and featured a bookmatched, flamed maple top and a clear pickguard. The HSH pickup configuration contained 3 washburn stock pickups. The Floyd Rose tremolo was branded the Washburn 800S and was actually a Takeuchi TRS-Pro Tremolo. Beside the hsh pickup configuration, the MG74 differed from the Washburn Mercury MG70 in that the MG74 had a maple fingerboard. Other features are: 15:1 die-cast tuners, gold hardware, a tapered heel and coil tapping.
