The Washburn Mercury MG122 is part of Washburn's Mercury series produced between 1993-1996 under Grover Jackson. The MG122 was part of the Mercury I series which were made in the United States. This serie was highly regarded as high-end instruments and the Mercury I series had "chunkier" necks than the Mercury II series. The Washburn MG122 also has the advanced features like the Wilkinson VS-100 tremolo and direct-mounted Seymour Duncan pickups. The MG122 is similar to the Washburn Mercury MG120 has an HH pickup configuration which consist of the in the neck position and a <a data-cke-saved-href="/node/95" href="/node/95" "="" title="Seymour Duncan JB">Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge position
