The Washburn Mercury MG120 is part of Washburn's Mercury series produced between 1993-1996 under Grover Jackson. The MG120 was part of the Mercury I series which were made in the United States. This serie was highly regarded as high-end instruments and the Mercury I series had "chunkier" necks than the Mercury II series. The Washburn MG120 also has the advanced features like the Wilkinson VS-100 tremolo and direct-mounted Seymour Duncan pickups. The HSS pickup configuration consist of two Seymour Duncan SSL-5 Single Coils and a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker. The MG120 is similar to the Washburn MG90 but has a bookmatched flamed maple top.
