The Washburn Mercury MG100 PRO is part of Washburn's Mercury series produced between 1993-1996 under Grover Jackson. The MG100 PRO was part of the Mercury I series which were made in the United States. This serie was highly regarded as high-end instruments and the Mercury I series had "chunkier" necks than the Mercury II series. The Washburn MG100 PRO also has the advanced features like the Wilkinson VS-100 tremolo and direct-mounted Seymour Duncan pickups. The HSS pickup configuration consist of two Seymour Duncan SSL-5 Single Coils and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates and differs from the Washburn MG100 produced in 1994 which has a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge position.
