The Peavey Vandenberg Signature 2 guitar differs from the first edition in that it has a slightly thicker body, thicker headstock, a shallower lower-fiddle-cut, a thicker neck and a different Kahler tremolo, namely the Kahler 2730 "Spyder"tremThis double locking system is also excellent, but the string spacing adjustment feature is left out. You also need to slack the strings to set intonation, and the ball ends must be cut off before putting on new strings. The second edition also feature a few more additional color options besides the three colors of the first edition: Pearl White, '62 Blue, Laser Red and Raspberry Pearl (all which have a hint of metallic). All the other features are just like the Peavey Vandenberg Signature .It has a slightly arched top and "fiddle cuts" in the body. The lower cutaway also has an extra scooped cutaway for reaching the highest fret. The scale of the bolt-on neck is 24.75 inch (just like a Les Paul). The headstock is reversed and has a 3 degree tilt and matches the color of the body. The pickups have an HS configuration with an Alnico bridge humbucker and an Alnico neck single coil with medium/high output both by Peavey. The pickups are both placed at a 2-4 degree angle (parallell with the body's bottom) to eliminate the string spacing problem when Gibson pickups are combined with Fender spaced tremolos.
