The Ibanez SF470 is a Made-in-Japan super strat with a mahogany body and a 22 frets-24.75 inch scale- maple- neck with. The SF series is derived from the Ibanez S series but features a fixed bridge instead of the Floyd Rose type tremolos. The Ibanez SF470 has an Ibanez Gibraltar II and a Quick change II stop tail piece. The neck featured here is a Viper neck with Ibanez All Access Neck Joint (AANJ). The HSH pickup configuration consist of the Ibanez V1 or Ibanez V7 humbucker, the Ibanez S2 single coil and the Ibanez V2 or Ibanez V8 humbucker. The Ibanez SF470 was introduced in 1992 as the 470S. It is the first hard-tail S model and the only one issued as an SF model. In 1997 a complete series of hard-tail S models was introduced as the S Classic series.
