The Ibanez 442R is part of the Ibanez Radius series guiars. This one was introduced in 1992 and was only available in that year. It's one of the first Radius models with a more traditional Stratocaster-like approach. The Ibanez 442R was made in Japan at the Fujigen Gakki factory and has an alder body, an Ibanez TZ tremolo, 22 frets, on a quartersawn maple (Ibanez Viper) neck with a maple fretboard. The tuners are Gotoh Magnum locking tuners and the pickups in the HSS pickup configuration are Ibanez pickups. Later in 1992 the Ibanez 442R was replaced by other strat-like Ibanez models like the Ibanez R355GF and the Ibanez R334.
