The Fender Jeff Beck Signature Stratocaster was introduced in 1991 and was based on the Fender Strat Plus. The first Jeff Beck signature guitar would come in this configuration until 2001 after which the specifications would change. Until 2001 the guitar would feature Lace Sensor Gold pickups in an HSS configuration. The Lace Sensor Gold Dually pickup in the bridge position are actually two Lace Sensor Gold single coils where you can switch off one of the coils with a "coil tap". The chunky U-shaped neck on this Jeff Beck signature model was so thick, some call it the "Baseball bat neck". The guitar came in 3 colors: Surf green, Midnight purple and Vintage White.
