The EVH Striped Series Shark is part of the EVH Striped Series and is based on Eddie Van Halen's guitar from the late 70s, an Ibanez Destroyer of which Eddie sawed a chunk out of the body. He then painted it silver and applied masking tape after which he sprayed a can of burgundy Schwinn bicycle paint on it. The neck is a quartersawn, set-in, maple, graphite reinforced neck with a modified C profile and a 24.75 scale length. The Pau Ferfo fretboard has a 12"-16" radius and white dot inlays. The catalog speaks of EVH Wolfgang Shark humbucking (alnico 2) whitch feature a metal braid mesh 2 conductor wire. They might be the same as regular Wolfgang pickups. The neck pickup has a different color then the bridge pickup. And the EVH Gotoh tuners are either Gold or Chrome.
